Terror Threat Against the U.S.

  [World Events]
01/29/2010
By Thomas, Brian

Usama bin Laden allegedly issued the following threat to the United States of America this past week:

"The message delivered to you through the plane of the heroic warrior Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was a confirmation of the previous messages sent by the heroes of the Sept. 11. America will never dream of security unless we will have it in reality in Palestine. God willing, our raids on you will continue as long as your support for the Israelis continues."
He was referring to the 2009 Christmas Day terror plot in which a Nigerian attempted to blow up his Northwest Airlines flight as it approached a Detroit airport. The terrorist was unable to detonate the explosive in his attempt. Bin Laden’s message reminded us of the September 11, 2001 attack on the U.S. Many wonder what do terrorists such as Bin Laden have against the United States of America. The simple answer is that we are friends with Israel, God’s chosen people. God made a promise to Abraham in the Bible thousands of years ago. He promised Abraham that He would make his descendants a great nation and promised to give them an area of land in the Middle East, an area known as the Promised Land. When making this vow to Abraham, God spoke the following, “I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”Genesis 12:3. Satan has always been against what God loves. God loves all of His creation and has a special covenant with the nation of Israel. Israel gave birth to our Messiah, Jesus Christ, thus all nations of the earth are blessed through Israel because the sacrifice that Jesus made gave the opportunity for eternal life to all. Satan does not want any to have eternal life with God and is constantly plotting ways to deceive mankind into turning away from God. The deep hatred that Bin Laden has for Israel is all because he is against God and Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us of the scorn that nations will have against Israel:
For behold, Your enemies make a tumult;
         And those who hate You have lifted up their head.
 They have taken crafty counsel against Your people,
         And consulted together against Your sheltered ones.
 They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation,
         That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”
Psalm 83:2-4
This same hatred for Israel was found in Adolf Hitler. He attempted to destroy all Jews with the Holocaust but his attempt failed. The Iranian president, Ahmadinejad, is also possessed with this same satanic spirit as he has expressed that “Israel must be wiped off the map”. Jesus will return to earth some day to rule and reign from Jerusalem. Satan thinks he can stop the reign of Jesus from happening if he can destroy the nation of Israel.
The United States of America has been the best ally to Israel since it became a nation in 1948. Our country was one of the first to officially recognize Israel as a nation in that year. God has blessed this nation tremendously for being such great supporters of His people. This support for Israel is despised by Bin Laden and he attempts to end it with terror tactics. But we must not let the threats cause us to turn our backs on Israel. The day we stop supporting Israel, is the day that our nation will spiral to its collapse. We are already headed in the wrong direction with every president since 1991 calling for a Palestinian and Israeli state known as the Two State Solution. This would require division of Israel between the Palestinians and the Jews and God gave stern warning in Joel 3:2 that He would judge nations that play a part in dividing the Holy Land. If we want to continue to receive the blessings from God, we MUST remain friends with Israel and not allow terrorists to bully us into abandoning Israel. We MUST also take our hands off of God’s land and stop pressuring Israel to split it with the Palestinians if we do not want to face the wrath of God.
