Jesus told His disciples that the rise of false christs on earth would be one of many signs of the times and end of the age, meaning that His return would be near when the world sees these things.
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. – Matthew 24:5
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. – Matthew 24:24
For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. – Mark 13:22
And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and, ‘The time has drawn near.’ Therefore do not go after them. – Luke 21:8
There have already been many that have claimed to be Jesus Christ, David Koresh and Jim Jones are just a couple of many. One of the current false christs is José Luis de Jesús Miranda. He is the founder and leader of Creciendo en Gracia (Growing In Grace International Ministry, Inc.), a movement that teaches the "doctrine of Grace”. Miranda is a native of Puerto Rico and claims that Jesus Christ “integrated with him” through a vision in 1973. He later stated he was the reincarnation of Apostle Paul in 1998 and then officially claimed to be Christ in 2005. He is a 60 year old former heroin addict and convict with a doctrine that states the non-existence of the devil, hell and sin, the futility of prayer, and the irrelevancy of God’s moral code (Ten Commandments). Miranda now proclaims that his teachings are greater than those of Jesus Christ of the Bible and therefore states that he is Antichrist. He claims to be both Jesus Christ and the Antichrist with a “666” tattoo on his arm and sports a vest with “666” embroidered. He says that 666 and the Antichrist are misunderstood. He tells his followers that the Antichrist is not the devil but is the one who replaces Jesus on earth. He is quoted as follows, “Antichrist is the best person in the world. Antichrist means don't put your eyes on Jesus because Jesus of Nazareth wasn't a Christian. Antichrist means do not put your eyes on Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Put it on Jesus after the cross." and says that means him. He also calls himself "Jesucristo Hombre" which translates to "The Man Christ Jesus". 
In reference to Jesus Christ, he has been quoted as stating, “I am greater than him . . . I teach better than him . . . I won’t die. Even if you tried to kill me! I will be president of the biggest government that this earth has experienced. I’m going to change the whole world.” What’s even more alarming about Miranda is that he has thousands of followers. His followers receive a “666” tattoo to show their allegiance to him. Other followers get "SSS" tattoos, referring to Miranda's motto of "Salvo, siempre salvo," or "Saved, always saved." 
He believes sinning is impossible because Christ died for the sins of mankind. Most of his supporters are in Miami and Colombia, but Miranda holds a congress every year in the Americas. He has a 24-hour Spanish-language television network and a radio program on 287 stations. He says his church-paid salary is $136,000 but lives even more lavishly. He displayed a diamond-encrusted Rolex to CNN interviewers while boasting that he has three more and travels in armored Lexuses and BMWs. All are gifts from his faithful followers. One of Miranda’s followers is Martita Roca who stated, “If somebody tells us drink some Kool-Aid and we'll go to heaven, that's not true. We are already in heavenly places." She proudly displays a “666” tattoo on her ankle. In closing, without a doubt, the predictions of Jesus Christ of false christs on earth are happening right before our eyes. He stated that it would be an indication of His soon return. Therefore, we are told to look up and watch, for our redemption draws near (Luke 21:28).
